The chance has arisen to buy an internationally-renowned restaurant on the Gower Peninsular that is a favourite of Hollywood stars Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas.

Knight’s Restaurant occupies a Victorian end-of-terrace property on the seafront in the village of Mumbles, five miles west of Swansea.

Its popularity with Zeta Jones (a Swansea native) and its menu of new world cuisine, fresh seafood and 120-plus wines have put it on the international map. Chef-proprietor Michael Knight also has a special arrangement to cook for the Hollywood stars at their nearby mansion.

Along with a 95-seat restaurant and a 12-seat lounge, the building also has extensive accommodation on the two upper floors that could be used as three letting flats, lodgings for owners or staff, or extra restaurant space.

The Bristol office of Christie + Co is seeking offers of £250,000 for the freehold.
