Exeter restaurateur Charlotte Hammick has bought the Old Inn tea rooms with letting rooms in the thatched Devon village of Drewsteignton.

The business, which includes five en-suite letting bedrooms, is located within the Dartmoor National Park, with the Two Moors Way passing the front door.

Hammick is converting the 28-seat tea room into a 20-seat restaurant with a small bar that will reopen in March following work to reveal the property’s original 17th century floors, walls and fireplaces.

She plans to serve organic, locally-sourced food and to hold international themed evenings.

Stonesmith of Exeter sold the free-of-tie lease off an asking price of £80,000 on behalf of Michelle and Tony Jones.
