The HPT610-SAThe British-made SA range of entry-level gastronorm upright cabinets from Precision are claimed to tick all the right environmental and price boxes.

They use Environfoam insulation, which is made from vegetable rather than petrochemical sources and take less energy to produce than conventional foams.

Price-wise, they are said to be about 15% cheaper than their main rivals - for instance, the 600-litre HPT 601 SA is listed at £1,595 against prices ranging from £1,925 to £2,226 across three competitor models.

They are robustly built, with a stainless-steel exterior, interior base and door, with aluminium interior walls and shelving. There are basic models - a refrigerator, a meat or chilled cabinet, and a deep freeze - each available in 2 x 600-litre one-door or 1 x 1,400-litre two-door options.
