Gourmet and Palace stemware from John Artis

Gourmet stemwareGourmet and Palace are the latest collections of Luigi Bormioli stemware to be made from SON.hyx, a patented new type of lead-free crystal that was introduced last autumn on the Magnifico and Atelier lines.

Compared with traditional high-end crystal, the material has double the resistance to mechanical shock, a 98% better resistance to twisting of the stem, high resistance to industrial washing, and a rim that is 37% stronger.

At the same time, it has the acoustic properties and appearance of quality crystal, being transparent, light-permeable and colourless to reveal the true colour of the wine.

The Gourmet line-up features a gourmet wide bowl that narrows at the mouth to enhance the "nose" of the wine, while the classical, elegant Palace is equally suitable for reds and whites. Both lines are exclusive to the food service market.
