Jenlain Ambrée and Meteor DraftTwo crafted beers from the Alsace region of Northern France imported by Pierhead Purchasing have been made available on draught for the first time in the UK.

The gourmet beers made by independent family breweries include Meteor Draft Lager, a 4.5% abv crisp, Pilsner-style lager made by the Haag family in Hochfelden using pure Vosgean water.

Jenlain Ambrée, the flagship brand from Brasserie Duyck, is an unpasteurised blonde version of Bier de Garde-style beers made from three different types of malt and three varieties of hops.

Meteor Draft is sold in 50-litre barrels and Jenlain Ambrée in 20-litre barrels.

Both have made it on to the list of Ollie Couillard's new restaurant, Bord'Eaux, which opens in London next month.
