Suffolk-based brewer Adnams has produced Innovation, a celebration beer to mark the completion of its new green brewery in Southwold that uses a heat condenser to recover steam from the air to heat the next brew.
The hoppy, golden 6.7% abv drink is brewed from Maris Otter barley and malted wheat, Styrian Goldings and Columbus hops to deliver a brew that combines a grapefruit and herbal bitterness with a subtle sweetness.
Innovation comes in a limited-edition bottle embossed with the Adnams story and the first 7,000 will become collectors' items as they carry individually numbered exclusive identification tags and Jonathan Adnams's signature.
