Afro-Caribbean sauce makeover from Odeiga House

Naija Afro-Caribbean saucesManchester producer Odeiga House (a sister company to the Palmgroove restaurant) has revamped its range of Naija-branded Afro-Caribbean sauces amid expectations that the sector will shoot up the ethnic cuisine league table.

The new look moves away from the dated, non-premium, cluttered and clunky livery, which it believes has held the sector back and which it has described as a "horrific throwback to the 1970s".

The traditional, easy-to-use, vegan-friendly sauces include the spicy, peanut-based Balangwu Suya Marinade and the feisty Spicy Odeida Marinade, which are both packed in 270g bottles.

The cooking sauces - in 175g bottles - include Potent Peanut and Alafia (which means wellbeing in Nigerian) Tomato.

They are packed in trays of six 1kg packs.
