Moroccan ingredients from Beacon Foods

Morocco is the inspiration for a new line of Tastes of the World sandwich and salad ingredients from Beacon Foods.

They will allow operators to create their own range of Moroccan sandwiches, salads and wraps by adding key proteins and salad ingredients.

Tomato and Chargilled Pepper Harissa is a fiery condiment made with peppers, chillies, garlic and coriander and makes a good accompaniment to poultry and pork, while Moroccan Apricot and Ginger Relish - a mix of apricots, currants, ginger, lemon juice, market spices, cinnamon and ground cumin - goes well with cheese.

Moroccan Carrot and Orange Chutney (with cumin seed and ginger) can be matched with lamb and beef, and Moroccan Cous Cous (with sun-dried tomatoes, currants, orange zest, chilli, ginger, garlic and cinnamon) provides the basis for a salad.
