Mango coulisA premium range of ambient, ready-to-use Hartley's coulis and compotes is now available from Premier Foods to help mainstream outlets that lack the time or skills to make the fruity concoctions from scratch.

The smooth, thick, vibrant coulis have a high fruit content of 83% and come in the four flavours of Raspberry, Blackcurrant, Forest Fruits, and Mango.

The flexible sauces can be added to desserts, breakfast yogurts, cocktails or smoothies; drizzled over starters and salad; or served with meat in a jus. They are supplied in cases of 2 x 300g bottles with two dispensing solutions - a decorating nozzle for accuracy, and a non-drip cap for controlled pouring.

The four compote flavours (Raspberry, Blackcurrant, Forest Fruits, and Peach) contain 60% fruit and are supplied in cases of 4 x 1kg wide-neck bottles.

They make equally flexible accompaniments, fillings, toppings and ingredients, matching well with porridge and cereals, trifles, scones, meats and cheeses, puddings and cheesecakes, tarts, pastries and pies. Both the coulis and the compotes are free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives and have a refrigerated life of four days after opening.

Chefs looking for ways to use them can call 01406 367318 for a free Hartley's Coulis and Compote recipe book.
