Several of the freshly-made ice-creams, real fruit sorbets and yogurt ices from Criterion Ices are exclusive to the restaurant trade.

Fans include London restaurants Café Spice Namast‚, whose own-specification Parsee Apricot Toffee is a best-seller; Ken Lo's Memories of China, where Stem Ginger, Green Tea and Gold Medal Vanilla ice-creams, Mandarin and Lychee yogurt ices and Passion Fruit, Blackcurrant and Mango sorbets have proved firm favourites; and Whit's in Kensington, which does well with Pistachio, Coconut and Honeycomb ice-creams.

All are made at the group's Suffolk farm creamery from fresh local cream, British sugar and other natural ingredients.

There are more than 30 ice-cream flavours, including Double Cream Vanilla, Vintage Marmalade, English Strawberry, Black Cherry and Brandy & Orange. Yogurt ices come in six varieties, including natural and five-fruit flavours, and there are six fruit sorbets along with Dark Chocolate and Champagne options.

All are supplied in four-litre tubs or 4.5-litre scooping trays.
