Staff at the four-star, 230-bedroom Cavendish, London, are celebrating being the only hotel to be included in the Sunday Times 100 Best Small Companies to Work For 2011 list.
Owned by Sir David and Sir Frederick Barclay, the hotel was placed 35th on the list, compared with 99th last year.
Managing director of the hotel Ciaran Fahy (pictured), who was praised by the Sunday Times for his high standards of leadership and promotion of great staff morale, said the award celebrated the great effort of the hotel's 103 staff in making the Cavendish an exemplary hotel in which to work.
"To be recognised in the top 100 companies list means we have achieved what we set out to do - to be the best four-star hotel in London, with caring people creating special experiences," he said.
The Sunday Times l00 Best Small Companies list is put together from the views of employees and the policies and processes of employers.
