BII names Licensee of the Year finalists

The British Institute of Innkeeping (BII) has revealed the four finalists for its Licensee of the Year competition.

The finalists are:

Lee and Keris De Villiers MBII, the Nightingale pub, Balham, London
Mark and Hayley Foster FBII, the Hare and Hounds, Corsham, Wiltshire
Darran Lingley MBII from the Five Bells in Colne Engaine, Colchester, Essex
Barbara and Edward May from the Great Western hotel and Steam bar & restaurant, Newquay, Cornwall

They now face a challenging series of panel interviews in London next month until the winner's name is revealed at the BII's Annual Lunch on 10 May at the Grosvenor House hotel, London.

BII chief executive Neil Robertson said: "It's fantastic to see, yet again, another year of superb finalists. We know how tough it is out there for licensees and it's great knowing that through everything licensees are still striving for professional excellence and our finalists prove that."
