ETM Group to open two new venues in London

Tom and Ed Martin's London pubco the ETM Group has announced plans to open two new venues in the capital, in a new 10-year partnership deal with Montcalm London Hotels.

The two venues form part of the Grade II listed Whitbread Brewery building on Chiswell Street, in the City of London, which is currently being transformed into a new 230-bedroom Montcalm London City luxury hotel, and adjacent to conference and events venue The Brewery.

The first new site at 56 Chiswell Street, previously called St Paul's Tavern, will provide a 20-cover hotel/public bar and 100-cover modern British restaurant featuring a private dining room for 16. The space, which is currently undergoing a complete rebuild, will open daily from 7am for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner when it relaunches in May.

The second operation, down the road at 49 Chiswell Street, will be themed as a British pub with a focus on "real food and fine wine". Formerly the King's Head, it will feature an open kitchen with charcoal grill and three large rotisseries following a full refit to create a 40-cover public bar with space for 100 in the dining room and up to 60 in three additional private rooms. Due to open in late summer, the site will serve food and drink from 11am to midnight.

Each venue will have its own separate street access, as well as access via the hotel. Tom and Ed Martin's ETM Group, whose portfolio includes London venues the Gun, the Botanist, the Cadogan Arms and the White Swan, will be responsible for all food and beverage operations at the property including conferences, events and room service.

Tom Martin said: "We are delighted to announce the opening of two new sites in Chiswell Street, a City of London street made famous by the old Whitbread Brewery.

"The openings of both venues, and the contract to run the food and beverage operations for the luxury Montcalm hotel, provides an excellent opportunity for ETM Group and represents our focus on launching in key central London, Canary Wharf and City areas".
