Geo bath from William Garvey

Thursday 28 April 2005 18:47
Devon furniture company William Garvey has designed a new Geo Bath based on traditional Japanese bathing practices. Ideal for boutique hotels or spas, the handmade teak bath features an extra-deep tub in which bathers sit submerged right up to their necks. The company claims the insulating properties of the teak mean the water stays warm for hours - and, with a lid on, potentially for the whole day. The natural oils from the timber protect the wood from water damage. The wood is also finished in a protective coat and is easily cleaned with everyday detergents.

Price: from £3,687, including feet and one seat
