Hilton launches the HiltonT brand in India
Hilton Hotels has signed an agreement to franchise its Hampton HiltonT brand to Marigold Hospitality in India. Marigold Hospitality aims to franchise 16 hotels under the Hampton Hilton brand in India. The deal is set to launch the Hampton by HiltonT brand in India with construction beginning later this year. The first of the Hampton by HiltonT hotels is planned to open in the next two years.

The Resort Group seek operator for Cape Verde
The Resort Group, advised by Savills, is seeking a luxury operator for its hotel and residential development on the island of Sal in Cape Verde. The two high-end resorts, Dunas Beach and Tortuga Beach, will have 760 and 390 rooms respectively and are situated on the southern part of Sal, Cape Verde’s principal island. The resorts comprise residential apartments and villas, alongside a luxury hotel, both of which are for sale to private investors. The resorts will also feature pools, landscaped gardens, a main restaurant, a gym and spa.

Luxury hotel on Lake Garda reopens for business
Villa Feltrinelli in Lake Garda Italy has just reopened after a £700,000 investment lasting five months. The 21-bedroom Grand Hotel on the western shores of Lake Garda now has Michelin-standard restaurant Gargnano, a 1920s Riva speedboat which allows al fresco dining and an outdoor massage service. The restored 18th century building hotel uses local ingredients and recipes in its restaurant, which serves dishes such as gnocchetti with a stew of lobster, crustacean oil and lemon herbs and roasted lamb shoulder with candied tomatoes and laurel jus. The Villa opened as a hotel in 2001 after a £20m restoration project lasting five years.

Holiday Inn opens up in Dubai
Holiday Inn is set to open up a five-star hotel in Al Barsha, Dubai. The 310 room hotel is located on the Sheikh Zayed Road and will open this summer. The hotel is also close to The Mall of the Emirates and Jumeira Beach and offers views of the Burj Al Arab. The hotel also comprises a piano bar, a Shushi bar, cocktail lounges and a choice of restaurants offering Arabic, Thai, and Indian cuisine.

Wyndham luxury hotels debuts in China
US luxury hotel operator Wyndham Hotel Group will open its first luxury hotel in China this year. The 600-room hotel will be built in Xiamen, but will be followed by hotels in Beijing and Shanghai.  Wyndham currently operates more than 120 properties across four brands in China, including 15 Howard Johnson, 30 Ramada, 20 Days Inn and 60 Super 8 hotels. The company also said its business would continue to grow at double-digit rate in China over the next few years.
