Paul Jackson, former operations director for contract caterer CH&Co, (formerly Charlton House) has been appointed as director of Ampersand, the group's niche catering brand. Ampersand caters for events and hospitality, public restaurants, café-bars, weddings and state banquets.
Jackson originally joined the group as project manager in 2000. Over the last 10 years he has worked his way up the career ladder, taking on the roles of: group manager, operations manager and operations director, before being promoted to managing director. He started his career at Cliveden hotel as food and beverage manager before moving on to fulfil his dream of running his own restaurants, before entering the world of contract catering.
Commenting on his appointment, Jackson said: "I feel very privileged to have been appointed managing director of Ampersand and having the opportunity to work closely with such impressive venues. Striving to offer seamless support to all the venues within our portfolio and working to always exceed our clients' expectations, I am looking forward to the new challenges ahead."
Ampersand has 12 clients including the Palace of Holyroodhouse, London Zoo, the Royal Institute of British Architects and the Law Society. The company employs 440 staff and its annual turnover is £18m. Its new corporate headquarters is situated at Coopers' Hall in Devonshire Square, London.
