Peruvian restaurant Ceviche to open second site in Shoreditch

Martin Morales, owner of Peruvian restaurant Ceviche in London, is set to open a second site in Shoreditch next spring.

The restaurant, which opened in Soho in February this year, is expanding east following the success of the first site on Frith Street.

The new restaurant will be bigger than the original, featuring a Ceviche Bar and Pisco Bar as well as a dedicated barbecue, a take-away service and live music and DJs.

Commenting on the new launch, Morales said: "Shoreditch is a hotbed for creativity and connectivity. We are known for our fresh approach to Peruvian cooking and atmosphere and with Shoreditch we have surprises from our recipe book, raw design built on the theme of ‘collections', and buzzing vibe with hard to find music."

Separately, Ceviche will launch a cookbook next year. Ceviche: The Peruvian Cookbook will feature more than 100 recipes and photographs celebrating the best of Peruvian food and cocktails.

Ceviche launched as the first of a number of Peruvian restaurants in London in 2012, which also include Lima and the forthcoming Coya.
