ETM opens first West End pub

London pub firm ETM Group is to open its first West End pub, the Angel & Crown on St Martin's Lane, in Covent Garden.

The 60-cover, 3,500 square foot site is due to open in early December. It will be spread over two floors and will be open seven days a week.

The company said the 18th century public house would be refurbished, with the ground floor operationg as a traditional pub, while the first floor will function as an informal pub dining room where reservations will be taken for lunch, dinner, pre- and post-theatre.

The Angel & Crown will serve an all-day menu of seasonal British produce from select artisan producers, regional farmers and Billingsgate fish market.

Tom Martin, co-founder of the business, said: "We are very much looking forward to establishing the Angel & Crown as a genuine gastropub - one that offers good food and good ale in a traditional pub setting."
