Pub company Greene King has appointed ex-telecoms boss Ian Bull as its group finance director.
Bull, 44, was chief executive of Enterprises at BT Retail, the consumer side of the UK telecoms giant.
The new finance chief will join Greene King on 9 January 2006 and will have a place on the board.
Current finance director Michael Swallow is resigning with immediate effect from the end of December. He is reportedly keen to pursue challenges outside the company.
Bull has held financial positions at TGI Fridays and Disney in the past.
Rooney Anand, chief executive of Greene King, said of Bull’s appointment: “He has extensive financial experience in a range of consumer facing businesses, which will be invaluable.”
