Caterer Holroyd Howe seals deals worth close to £10m

Contract caterer Holroyd Howe has won two deals worth nearly £10m in combined turnover as it celebrates ten years in business.

The caterer, set up in 1997 by Rick Holroyd and Nick Howe, has won two three-year deals with Standard Chartered Bank in London and Wessex Water in Bath.

The £6m combined turnover deal at Standard will see Holroyd provide fine dining, hospitality a staff restaurant, deli and coffee bar services as well as vending at three of the bank’s London offices.

This includes the bank’s new global headquarters at One Basinghall Avenue, which houses 1,700 staff.

Anthony Hamilton-Briscoe, head of facilities Europe at the Bank group, said: “After an extensive tender process led by Tricon Foodservice Consultants we chose Holroyd Howe because we felt they showed a true understanding of our requirements.”

The caterer’s deal at Wessex Water sees it replace Elior in a £3.9m combined turnover deal at the water company’s state-of-the-art Claverton Down headquarters, which was built in 2000.

Holroyd will provide staff dining, hospitality and vending services for the site’s 580 staff. The tender process was overseen by food consultancy Turpin Smale.

As part of the client’s commitment to sustainability the caterer will be using sustainable food sources, seasonal local ingredients and minimising the use of disposable materials as part of a comprehensive recycling policy.

Contract caterer Holroyd Howe has 132 contracts and more than 1,100 employees and an annual turnover of £45m.
