CodaScisys chooses Charlton House

Charlton House has started a £180,000-a-year contract with IT services company CodaScisys at two sites: Chippenham in Wiltshire, and Bristol. The two-year deal started on 2 January and sees Charlton House providing breakfast, lunch and hospitality to 300 people at the two sites.

Medirest wins at Fieldhead Hospital

Medirest has won a contract with South West Yorkshire Mental Health NHS Trust worth £3m in total turnover. Under the terms of the five-year deal, Medirest will provide catering services for 500 patients, staff and visitors at Fieldhead Hospital in Wakefield from April.

Sodexho in 36-year deal for PFI hospital

Sodexho has confirmed a 36-year contract at a new Private Finance Initiative hospital (pictured) in Romford, Essex. The annual turnover of the contract will be £16m. Sodexho will provide a range of services including catering, portering, housekeeping, reception, security, pest control and grounds maintenance. Sodexho is a shareholder in the Catalyst Healthcare (Romford) consortium along with Bovis Land Lease and Halifax Bank of Scotland.

Avenance boosts business by £1/2m

Avenance has won a new rolling contract with fund management company Morley FM in London and extended another two with existing London clients. In total, the new business represents annual sales of £500,000. At Morley FM's two sites in the City, previously run by Sodexho, Avenance will employ eight staff. The company has also extended its business by providing hospitality to 30 executives at a new Chevron Texaco site in the West End and will operate a caf‚ and deli-bar at publisher Reed Elsevier's new headquarters in the Strand.

Bookham adds three years to Mitie deal

Mitie Catering has extended its contract with Bookham Technology. Mitie has provided catering and cleaning services at Bookham's Towcester, Northamptonshire, site for the past two years. A new three-year deal encompasses a package of services including catering, vending, reception, security, cleaning and reprographics at Bookham's three UK locations, Towcester; Paignton, Devon; and Abingdon, Oxfordshire. The contract is estimated to turn over £1.7m a year.
