Leisure group Whitbread has announced that Angie Risley will be stepping down as an executive board director at the end of May 2007.
Risley is joining Lloyds TSB Group as its human resources director. She had been group human resources director at Whitbread since 2001.
She was promoted to the Whitbread board in May 2004 and originally joined the company, which owns Costa Coffee and Premier Travel Inn, back in 1989.
Anthony Habgood, Whitbread’s chairman, said: “We are very sorry to lose Angie. She has played a huge part in the transformation of Whitbread over the last three years.”
