Three senior directors at Punch Taverns have been made redundant as part of the pub giant’s focus on reducing its costs, it was announced today.
The roles of commercial director, strategy director and corporate affairs director will be redundant, meaning that Jonathan Paveley, Tracy Jones and Nigel Turpin will be leaving the business over the coming months.
The move follows Punch’s announcement earlier this month that up to 100 jobs could be risk amongst its 950 head office staff.
In a statement, Punch said: “The board would like to thank Jonathan, Tracy and Nigel for their significant contributions to the business over the years. Each of them have an excellent track record in the industry and we wish them all the very best with their next venture.
“After a period of transition, Sarah Perrins and the press office will report into group HR director Karen Caddick and responsibilities for managing our relationships with important trade and external bodies will be shared between our senior leadership team.”
