Event caterers launch business partnership

Five event caterers have joined forces to launch a partnership called Moveable Feast.

The group comprises the Italian Café company, West Cornwall Pasty Company, drinks company Gazelle Cart, Fine Burger Company and Helen Browning's Organic Flying Pig.

Robert Tame, managing director of Fine Burger Company, said: "Getting together is in the interest of the client, who doesn't want the hassle of organising a number of different caterers."

Moveable Feast will target sporting events and Tame believes it will boost the quality of public catering. "The contractor often has been interested in the top-end corporate hospitality stuff and has contracted out the public catering to one-man bands."

Deals have been struck at the Oval, Lord's and Twickenham.
