Well-dressed prawns from Accolade

Four flavoured varieties of King Prawn have been added to Accolade's line-up of spray-sauced and coated seafoods.

The company sources its prawns from British Retail Consortium-approved factories in the Far East to process at its Grimsby plant. The deveined Vanama warm-water prawns are coated, breaded or battered, and then individually quick-frozen for easy portion control. They can be cooked from frozen and then pan-fried, microwaved or oven-baked.

The new line-up includes garlic and herb butter-coated king prawns, garlic and cracked black pepper prawns in a tempura batter, and breaded Cajun or creole varieties. They come in cases of 8 x 1kg packs, with each pack containing about 70 prawns, depending on size.
