Rare absinthe from Harvey Miller

Only 1,000 bottles of the new Apsinthion Grand De Luxe super-premium absinthe will be produced a year at Toorak Distilleries' Polish plant. The recipe has evolved from the group's award-winning Apsinthion De Luxe, which shifted 50,000 bottles last year.

The limited-edition newcomer is made to an 18th-century Polish formula using wormwood, coriander and peppermint collected from the Wisla mountains which - uniquely for absinthe - is matured in oak barrels.

The liquor is 68% abv and has a high level of thujone - the component in wormwood that gives absinthe its special effect - of 30mg per kg. It's sold in hand-filled, dark green frosted bottles with wooden stoppers and a 50cl capacity. A case of four bottles costs £64.02.
