Bill Helsby has joined Travelodge as director of reservations and distribution. He was reservations services director with Thistle Hotels. Alistair Buckle has also joined Travelodge, as director of brand marketing. He was head of marketing at low-cost airline EasyJet.
Contract caterer Avenance has made three senior appointments. Stephen Harling is the new regional managing director for the City of London, having been head of Avenance's Ministry of Defence team. Tom McGuire and Tony Winterbottom have become sales directors at the company. They were previously operational and development manager and business development manager, respectively, at contract caterer Aramark.
Sharon Bradford is now senior assistant manager at the Grand hotel in Eastbourne, Sussex. She was assistant manager, rooms division, at the Ashdown Park hotel. Both properties are owned by Elite Hotels.
Debrah Dhugga has joined hotel and restaurant company Tom's Companies, which owns the Seaham Hall hotel in County Durham, as commercial director. She was director of sales at Malmaison hotels.
Kempinski Hotels & Resorts reports a number of senior management moves. Michael Henssler has gone to the Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates in Dubai, opening later this year, as general manager. He was general manager of Kempinski Julai'a hotel in Kuwait. Holger Schroth, previously general manager at the Kempinski Resort Hotel Estepona, Spain, has moved to the Kempinski Hotel Airport Munich. Michael Sorgenfrey, hotel manager of Hotel Adlon Kempinski in Berlin, will become manager of the operator's new properties in London next month at the Bentley and Courthouse hotels. Konstantin Zeuke, previously general manager at the Ajman Kempinski Hotel, United Arab Emirates, has taken charge of the Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko, Bulgaria.
The Chester Grosvenor Hotel & Spa has appointed Stephanie White as marketing manager. She was national accounts
manager at Manchester marketing agency Monitor, working on accounts including Mitchells & Butlers.
St David's Hotel & Spa in Cardiff has selected Mark Sands to be manager of the St David's Spa. He has moved from the Wentworth Health Club & Spa, Surrey, where he was deputy health club and spa manager. w
