The Poachers Inn

Local licensee Tony Stearman has bought the Poachers Inn, a traditional Devon village pub in the affluent commuter village of Ide on the outskirts of Exeter.

The end-of-terrace property is arranged over two floors and includes a main lounge with two dining areas to seat 50 guests, three en-suite letting bedrooms (including a four-poster room), and a self-contained two-bedroom owners’ apartment.

Outside, there is seating for 60 guest in the trade gardens, a patio, barbecue, 25-bay car park and a marquee that has made the inn a popular wedding venue.

Stonesmith of Exeter sold the free-of-tie lease off an asking price of £130,000 on behalf of Chris Stephens and Kelvin Burnett.
