Damian Allsop Chocolates has launched Clouds, which the company describes as "the re-invention of the macaroon".
They comprise a light, crisp centre encased in chocolate and decorated by hand for serving as petits fours, as turn-down gifts or to put into minibars.
Clouds are sold in boxes of six for £2.95, with one flavour per box.
Flavours will change seasonally and the two initial choices are Berries - mixed summer fruits with vanilla, dipped in 70% dark chocolate; and Coffee/Anise which starts off with a taste of anise, before coffee comes in with caramel notes from the milk chocolate coating and leaving a liquorice flavour on the palate.
