Magpie’s hotel

The owner of the Prego restaurant collection has bought the Magpie’s hotel, a 17th century coaching inn located in the heart of the Bedfordshire village of Woburn.

Magpie’s offers 11 letting bedrooms, a 26-seat restaurant, a traditional bar and a snug. A traditional coaching archway leads to the car park and trade garden, which can seat another 40 customers.

The Milton Keynes office of Christie + Co sold the leasehold off a guide price of £150,000 on behalf of mother-and-son team Andy and Marie Rusk

New owner  Simon Chapman owns the Prego restaurants in Newport Pagnell, Market Harborough and Buckingham. He also owns the Roman Rooms hotel in Wolverton, which is currently for sale through Christie + Co.
