CVC wins seven-year Birmingham City FC contract
Crown Venue Catering (CVC) has won a seven-year contract to provide catering and hospitality services at Birmingham City football club. The deal, which started on 28 September and will turn over an average of £714,000 per year, will see 100 CVC staff provide catering services to more than 1,000 supporters and hospitality services to 62 executive boxes on match days. The contract was previously run by Azure.

Compass secures third Rockware contract
Compass Group business and industry division Eurest has won a one-year rolling contract to provide catering and facilities services at glass manufacturer Rockware Glass in Irvine, Scotland. The deal, which will turn over £250,000 per year, will see 26 Eurest staff work at the site, which has 220 employees. It is the third contract Eurest has won with Rockware. The catering operation was previously run by Avenance, Initial ran the security and which was previously run by ISSA.

Harrow College signs Scolarest for vending services
Compass Group education division, Scolarest, has won a five-year contract to provide catering and vending services at Harrow College in Harrow, Middlesex. The deal, which will turn over £1.6m per year, will cater for 4,200 full-time students and 440 staff. Fifteen Scolarest staff will work on the contract, which was previously run by Aramark.

Prestige Scotland to provide services to Perth racecourse
Sodexho’s corporate hospitality and banqueting arm Prestige Scotland has won a 10-year contract to provide banqueting, conference and events services at Perth racecourse in Scotland. The deal, which will turn over £2m per year, will see 250 Prestige staff serve up to 12,000 people on race days. The catering contract for the owners and trainers area was previously run by Azure and Prestige has maintained the corporate hospitality operation.

Sodexho has also won 12 new contracts at schools across the UK, with a combined annual turnover of £2m.

Marling School, Gloucestershire (five years)
Headlands School, Wiltshire (one year)
St Gregory’s Catholic High School, Bath (five years)
Edgbaston High School for Girls, Birmingham (one year)
St Edmund Campion, Birmingham (three years)
Greenfield School, County Durham (three years)
St Bedes Catholic High School, County Durham (three years)
Cranbrook College, Essex (one year)
Chetwynde School, Cumbria (five years)
Woodrow House holiday centre, Buckinghamshire (one year)
