Friday 29 September 2006 00:00

The Park Motel Caravan & Campsite near Llandrindod Wells in Powys has sold from an asking price of £550,000 for the freehold interest.

The three acre site is set just outside the village of Crossgates and has a prominent trading position fronting the A44, a main route between the West Midlands and the West Wales coast.

The main house dates back 300 years and comprises a reception area, games room, a snug and a seating area with steps leading down to a 40-cover restaurant.

A single storey extension has been added to provide seven self-catering chalets. The five-bedroom owner’s accommodation is based in the main house.

The caravan park has 18 pitches, three filled by static caravans owned by the business and the remaining 15 occupied by privately owned caravans. There are a further 13 pitches for touring caravans.

New owners are Ian and Joan Barr. The agent was Christie and Co, acting for Stephen and Laura McNulty
