Schwartz for Chef SeasoningsThe versatile range of Schwartz for Chef Seasonings from McCormick can be used in a myriad ways in the commercial kitchen to add value - and a premium price - to classic dishes with minimal effort.

They can serve as a marinade, a dry rub, a sprinkle before serving, a coating, or as an ingredient in dressings, sauces and dips.

Robert Hemming, from the Bat & Ball pub in Oxfordshire, has been experimenting with ways to use the seasonings to improve profits on his existing cuts of meat. "For instance, we currently offer a 12oz Rib-eye steak for £15.95 but with the simple addition of one of the Schwartz for Chef Seasonings, I could charge an extra £1, and by sprinkling one of these seasonings on to a portion of chips, I could add 25p to the selling price," he revealed.

McCormick is giving away sets of six seasonings to help 12 Product Zone readers spice up their menu prices. Each kit contains Smoky Mesquite (340g), Classic (300g), Spicy (280g), Mediterranean (240g), Montreal Pepper (350g) and Peppered Steak (260g).
