Jamie Oliver has been awarded yet another accolade, as he is crowned the world’s favourite TV chef by BBC Food magazine.
Not busy enough saving a generation of youngsters from the perils of Turkey Twizzlers and helping disadvantaged teenagers get ahead at his London restaurant Fifteen, Oliver topped an international poll of 13,000 foodies to take his latest accolade.
It comes just days after BBC Radio 4’s Food and Farming Awards named Oliver as the BBC Food Personality of the Year.
“I’m honoured and very humbled. It’s amazing what can be achieved in just seven years,” said Oliver.
In the BBC Food poll, Jamie beat off stiff competition from dancing chef James Martin, whose recent Strictly Come Dancing appearance helped him take the runner up spot.
Rick Stein, Ainsley Harriet and Nigella Lawson were awarded fourth, fifth, and sixth places respectively, with Antony Worrall Thompson, Gary Rhodes and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall making it into the top 10.
