Brakes' De Cecco pastasDe Cecco Italian pasta, launched by Brakes, is made from high-quality durum wheat, giving it a golden colour.

Ground in the De Cecco mill adjacent to the pasta factory, the ingredients are kneaded with water from the cool De Cecco mountain spring. The finished pasta has a roughness that helps to hold a sauce.

It comes in a number of formats, including Tagliatelle, supplied in 500g packs of 10, and Lumaconi Rigati, made from large shell-shaped pasta pieces with a ribbed surface and available in 500g packs of 12.

Pappardelle is available in 500g cases of 10 while the traditional Fusilli and Penne shapes come in 3kg packs of four.

For chefs wishing to make their own pasta, Brakes has also launched Farina Tipo "00" Flour made from selected grains grown and harvested at the De Cecco mill in Italy and offered in 1kg cases of 10.
