Oriental opus from Amoy

Amoy Oriental kitConsumers are twice as likely to choose an outlet that offers their favourite world cuisine, but a Quickbite survey has found that the 186m market for ethnic cuisine is still under-represented on caterers' menus.

Chinese food is the leading ethnic choice in the UK. It is regularly eaten by 49% of people and is the third most popular evening meal served in pubs, according to the research.

To address this gap, Amoy, a division of Heinz Foodservice that was founded in the Far East in 1908, is offering one Buy It! reader a kit that contains everything they need to assemble authentic Chinese dishes.

It includes a range of Amoy products, a wok, a Chinese cookery book and chef's knives.

To take advantage of the offer, ring Heinz on 0800 575755 or send an email titled "Amoy CNY kit" to Proactive Communications.

For more information on the Heinz range, visit the company website here >>
