Vitality pressure steamerThe combination of steam and pressure allows the new Salvis Vitality pressure steamer to shorten cooking times by up to 70%, according to its distributor Exclusive Ranges. The steamer will steam, blanch, poach, pasteurise and cook for extended periods at low temperatures without sacrificing the foods' vitamins, minerals, juices and natural aroma. The steamer, which is armed with 50 preset cooking programmes, will cook between 300 and 400 portions of vegetables per hour. The unit, which is low in water and energy requirements, measures 680mm high x 624mm wide x 725mm deep and is priced from £9,096 without the optional water softener or core temperature sensor up to £9,863 for models with all the bells and whistles.
