Evolution is the name of Blue Seal's upgraded prime cooking range, the result of a four-year research and development project, the biggest in the company's 24-year history. The new range has quadrupled in size from 40 to more than 250 model options and undergone a complete makeover. It's more streamlined with curved angles, improved levelling feet, new chunky burner controls, and a rest area at the front of each appliance. Evolution features a new open-top 7kW burner design, drop-down doors as standard on the ovens, and more flexible configurations from the provision of four base unit types to match the burners, solid tops or griddles. Additions include optional refrigerated base units (900mm or 1,200mm) to fit below the tops and a trio of heavy-duty griddles in 600mm, 900mm and 1,200mm sizes (and including a standard thermostatically controlled 20mm griddle plate and an optional mirrored chrome plate for better heat retention). The revamped range includes Blue Seal's first pasta cooker, a single-pan 450mm unit offering fast recovery times from low-heat settings and four baskets for cooking individual portions at the same time.
