Golden Tulip UK has signed a £40m development deal for three new hotels near London’s Gatwick airport and in York and Doncaster.
The new-build hotels, which will be open by the autumn of next year, will add 450 bedrooms to the group’s expanding portfolio.
Its 204-bedroom Tulip Inn Gatwick hotel will be the group’s largest limited-service three-star offering so far. It will be located at Manor Royal Business Park two miles from Gatwick airport.
Peter Roberts, chief executive of Golden Tulip UK, said: “We are confident the Tulip Inn Gatwick will benefit from the eight million passengers who already arrive at Gatwick annually from Europe where the Golden Tulip and Tulip brands are well established.”
Tulip Inn Doncaster will be part of Lazarus Properties’ £12m High Fisher Gate scheme in Doncaster town centre, while Golden Tulip York will be the company’s third property in Yorkshire when it opens.
