TRI HotStats - monthly European hotel figures

Tuesday 30 May 2006 16:32

London hotels proved the most profitable in Europe in the three months to March 2006, according to the latest Europe HotStats survey.

They achieved an income before fixed costs per available room (IBFCpar) of €80.99 in the first quarter.

Although hotels in both Rome and Paris achieved higher revenue per available room figures than in London, their IBFCpar performance was much lower at €47.70 and €50.99 respectively.

London hotels benefited from significantly lower payroll costs, which represented just 27.9% of turnover compared with 41.2% in Rome and 42.9% in Paris.

The figures are compiled each month by Tri Hospitality Consulting.
