Single-serve cheeses from Bel

Cheese is the fastest growing in-home breakfast item in the UK, with sales growing by 20% a year, so the range of single-serve international-branded cheeses sold by Bel UK Foodservice will help caterers provide a broader variety of early-morning meals without any wastage. Options for time-poor customers who want breakfast on the go could include a baguette filled with sliced Leerdammer with bacon, or a Port Salut BLT. For traditional sit-down breakfasts, the range will satisfy Continental guests already accustomed to eating cheese and cold meats as their first meal, or add a twist to the traditional English cooked breakfast (for instance, grated Leerdammer adds a creamy texture to omelettes and scrambled eggs).

The Bel line-up includes the Leerdammer Minis catering pack of 40 x 20g portions, the Port Salut catering pack of 216 x 16.7g servings, and the Mini Babybel range of 20g or 22g servings, which come in pack sizes of between 60 and 288 units. Spreadable varieties include the Laughing Cow, Cantadou, Cantafrais, Le Marbray and Chanteneige.
