An adjustable-height Gas Lava Rock Grill added to Whirlpool Professional's heavy-duty 900 Collection has removable, easy-clean grill plates. Suitable for steaks, burgers, sausages and other barbecue-style food, the counter-top unit has two independently controlled zones, enabling cooking and warming to be matched to throughput needs. Whirlpool supplier Equip Line has also launched a mini Nieco chain broiler (pictured left) with external dimensions no larger than a microwave oven. The Nieco N10's conveyor belt can grill steaks, chicken, hamburgers and seafood on both sides simultaneously, with timing - typically four to six minutes for a quarter-pound burger - determined automatically by the belt speed setting. Optional hotdog grill and cheese-melter accessories are available.
