Front-loading dishwashers from Hobart

Extensive research and feedback from customers have prompted Hobart to launch the FX/FXP range of front-loading dishwashers. The four models have been developed to provide customers with an energy-saving and cost-effective machine that is easy to use and delivers consistent results. The FX400 washes up to 20 racks an hour, while the FX800, FXL800 and FXP wash up to 40 racks an hour.

Ecotherm heating technology uses just 0.8kW of energy to ensure a constant 62¡C during every wash cycle, and Hobart claims operators could save more than £500 a year in running costs and reduce their CO2 emissions by 1,250kg.

New Vector wash jets provide a broader and more precise spraying pattern for even distribution of the detergent solution, and the Accurinse rinse system ensures constant temperature and volume of clean rinse water.

The selectable X-Change cycle empties the wash tank completely before rinsing, which means operators can wash heavily soiled and contaminated items without having to manually drain and refill the machine.

The Smartronic control with single-button operation and cycle progress indication means the machine is easy to use and understand. With the FXP model, the door handle also illuminates for easy status identification.

Other features of the FXP model include a four-stage wash process, Intensiv 4, which removes more food soil from the wash water and claims to save up to 40% on detergent usage. A pre-wash function soon after the cycle start removes food soil from the wash water via the Genius X2 active filter system. Then, just before the rinse cycle, the Genius X2 is backflushed, removing more soil.

The FXP also has a drying cycle that eliminates steam escape when the door is opened. Prices for the new range start at £3,725, with contract rental at £4.50 a day.
