With a draw-off of up to 135 litres (238 pints) and a specially robust construction, Instanta's automatic-fill Bulk Water Boiler is suitable for use in all large-scale catering operations including hospitals, banqueting, military, prison service, contract catering, schools and universities.
Measuring 660mm wide x 892mm high x 550mm deep, the boiler has a large-capacity stainless-steel water tank with six 3kW long-life Incoloy 800 heating elements each fitted with boil-dry protection sensors. The outer casing, including removable front and lid panels, is made from stainless steel with a decorative finish combining grain and mirror polish. The outer lid fits over the inner lid and case, ensuring the surface temperature remains cool to touch.
All the main boiler functions are controlled by electronics that incorporate solid-state switching and low-voltage control microprocessor technology.
The temperature is thermistor-controlled for greater accuracy and factory-set at 98¡C, although it can be manually adjusted via a temperature control knob. A simple on-off switch is located on the front of the machine and an LED display indicates both boiler status and early-warning intelligent diagnostics for certain fault conditions.
Fitted with two large-bore non-drip taps for speedier delivery, the boiler complies with water bylaws and can dispense 135 litres in just 12 minutes, with a recovery of 3.4 litres per minute.
