Programmable bulk coffee brewer from Melitta

The 600 Series bulk brew filter coffee range from Melitta can be pre-programmed to turn on and brew between five and 40 litres of coffee at a specified time, eliminating the need for an operator to be present at start-up.

The central hot water boiler is surrounded by one or two urns that are lined with porcelain so as not to taint the coffee flavour. The brewed coffee stays fresh for longer because the patented Pyramid filter system keeps roasting deposits and bitter residues out of the coffee.

The boiler and urns have glass-fronted windows, while a hot water spout on the boiler provides water for other purposes and a flexible coffee spout attachment will fill any size or shape of container.

The modular system, which starts at £4,000, can be supplied as a buffet design with its own hotplate or as a mobile unit with a trolley. Extra outlets for hot water and coffee can be fitted to the rear to offer self-service operations.
