This week we've upped the budget a bit to include this historic country house hotel in the Lake District. Dale Head Hall is set in 2.5 acres of grounds beside Lake
Thirlmere, about halfway between Keswick and Grasmere, with Helvellyn mountain forming a stunning backdrop.
Parts of the Grade II-listed building date from the 16th century, including some of the bedrooms, which feature latch doors and oak beams.
In addition to the 12 en suite bedrooms there are seven self-catering suites situated around a courtyard and converted, in part, from a Victorian coach house. The owner's accommodation consists of both a bungalow and a separate four-room wing attached to the main building.
Agent Colliers Robert Barry is inviting offers of about £2.25m for the hotel, with additional outbuildings available separately. For more information, contact Chris Moore at the Manchester office on 0161-233 4444, or e-mail chris.moore@colliersrobertbarry.co.uk.
