Everson Hewett gets arty in Barnet
Everson Hewett, acquired by Compass Group in February, has won a three-year contract for the Arts Depot, a new art gallery and theatre venue set to open in Barnet, North London, this autumn. Turnover will be about £500,000 a year.
New MDs for Charlton House
Alison Tyler, director of business development for independent contractor Charlton House, and Caroline Fry, client resources director, have been appointed joint managing directors of the company. Co-founder and chief executive Robyn Jones said: "The creation of the managing director's post is a strategic move to ensure that we have a robust management structure in place to take the company forward."
ECJ collars Derbyshire police deal
Eurest Criminal Justice (ECJ), part of Compass Group, has won a new four-year deal with the Derbyshire Police Authority. The contract, which will turn over some £750,000 a year, covers more than 70 police stations. ECJ will provide catering and cleaning services to 3,000 police and civilian staff.
Eurest launches RAF contract
Eurest Support Services has landed a £5.5m-a-year deal at RAF Leuchars near St Andrews in Scotland. The contractor will supply catering, retail, leisure, cleaning and hotel services to the 2,000 people living and working at the air station.
Holy catering contracts! Milburns wins at Norwich
Milburns, part of Restaurant Associates, the fine-dining division of Compass, has won a three-year contract to provide catering services for Norwich Cathedral. The contract will turn over £500,000 a year.
Bradford cuts red tape
Bradford's school meals provider, Education Contract Services, is to simplify its tendering process in a bid to encourage more local food producers and suppliers to bid for its meat, fresh fruit and vegetable supply contracts.
