AOC and micro-filtered Camembert from Isigny Sainte-Mère

AOC Camembert

Two distinct varieties of Isigny Camembert are now available for food service: the existing micro-filtered cheese and the AOC Camembert, which is untreated and bears the AOC quality stamp.

The AOC Camembert was withdrawn in 2007 due to a debate in France among cheese producers and authorities about the risks of using unprocessed milk for pregnant women.

The company has since introduced a separate milk collection for complete traceability and new technology which can quickly detect pathogenic germs present in raw milk from selected producers.

AOC Camembert is available to caterers in 150g and 250g packs.
