Article ThumbnailThis week's star property, located in the Exmoor National Park, could have come straight off the cover of a chocolate box.

The Royal Oak is a delightful, stone-built property with a thatched roof and a wealth of period features. It enjoys an excellent setting in the Somerset village of Winsford, facing the village green and Winn Brook, a tributary of the River Exe.

The quintessential country inn, parts of which date back to the 12th century, has 13 en suite letting bedrooms, five of which are housed in the converted stables, although only two are currently in use.

It has two bars, three residents' lounges, and a 40-cover restaurant. Outside there's a beer garden, a car park, and a paved patio area.

Property agent Forum Business Sales (01202 201110) is seeking offers in excess of £1.1m for the freehold interest of the property.
