Pubs 'n' Bars, which has 64 managed and tenanted pubs throughout the UK, has boosted its profit in the first half of the year despite a drop in sales.
The company made a pre-tax profit of £530,822 for the six months ended 30 June, compared with £518,402 for the same period a year ago.
The 2.4% increase came after the company's decision to switch some pubs from managed to tenanted status, reducing turnover to £7m (£7.06m in 2003) but cutting costs.
